So much for human children not being able to fly.

And who doesn't recall grandfather's entertaining their grandchildren by swallowing a pineapple.

And also. apparently as owls age they get eyebrows and an affinity for trendy polos.

Gramps is a bit stronger than Mr Owl. I bet he could have lifted the futon.

Nobody could have lifted the futon...not even Hans the bodybuilder

I sure Manuel the manservant could. It's what they are born for. Manservant skin is coated in a fine sheen of anti-frustrons, and they can lift at least two metric tons.

Oswald McCracken (+102)

The anti-frustron is an elusive particle generated only by duct tape manufacturing, paper shredder exhaust, and the metahistamine complex of domestic service specialists.
Oh, and any explosive blast with a force of over 20 megatons, but that's just not practical.

Xyphoid (+4)

So what would a frustron decay into in said blast. I'm thinking 2 teen poems and 3 minutes and 34 seconds of unexplained car alarm.

Metric futons?

"So much for human children not being able to fly." :)

You'll notice grampa was careful to CATCH Cooper.

Or, less specifically, clothes.

why does grampa wear a shirt but Mr. Owl doesn't?

zetoastking (+345)

Owls can only wear shirts all the time that they received as holiday gifts.

LordCanti918 (+43)

Oddly enough, Mr. Owl was wearing shirts in the montage of his life a couple weeks ago. I think it's just a lifestyle choice, same as not giving gifts and adopting children of another species.

Also, I believe Steve disintegrated all of his laundry.

At first I thought Mr. Owl started wearing clothes and grew eye brows.

Then it hit me.

becky (+232)

Same! I thought he'd just got spiffed up for Cooper's big day. Who among us has not glued on false eyebrows for a special occasion?

Dog Breath (+2571) (mod)

He has a bigger pecker.

I meant beak you pervs!

jhon (+28)

I'm pretty sure that Grandpas are required to have eyebrows larger than any normal human being. You don't get them until you become a Grandpa.

Mr. Owl is a rebel. A true Gen-...O, i think. Though his pops raised him for silly things like holiday presents and shirts, Owl will have none of that in his household!

The look of annoyance on Mr. Owls face in the last panel is really good. So subtle.

large.roaming.ungulates (+16)

Add to that Cooper's look of horrified fascination, and you have a pretty sweet panel.

Gheremya (+54)

jubedy (+135)

Signs to tell if your owl is aging = does he wear sweaters with a polo shirt underneath?

zetoastking (+345)

I was thinking "did he grow eyebrows?"

Jonny (+1596)

Mr Owl has eyebrows. They're just far less bushy and exactly the same shade as the rest of him.
